Rejuvenation in Eyelids and (Bags) dark circles.
Men and Women
This procedure rejuvenates the appearance of the face eliminating excess skin in eyelids and wrinkles caused by bags or dark circles.
It is possible to remove skin excess around the eyes. Yes, eyelid surgery is a particularly effective method of removing excess skin both above and below the eye and it helps make the person’s appearance less tired and more alive. Eyelid surgery is often performed at the same time as the face lift.
How is the surgery performed?:
An incision is made in the skin folds of the upper eyelid and below the eyelashes in the lower eyelid. Through these incisions we remove the skin, muscle and excess fat, the skin is then smoothed and stitched again in its place. Scars are usually scarcely visible four or six weeks after the operation.
There is a technique variant for the lower eyelid called transconjunctival, which is performed through the conjunctiva, to remove the fat bags. It does not remove skin or muscle and the recovery period is three days.
It is worth mentioning that the incisions are made with the surgical laser of CO2 which passes through a precious stone (Diamond) with which the cut is sharper and more precise. It makes the Patient’s recovery less annoying. The cut with the laser performs hemostasis or sealing of the vessels (veins) on contact with the skin so this procedure allows no bruising or inflammation still important in the transconjunctival procedure.
The procedure is performed with local anesthesia and a sedative so the patient has no pain or discomfort during the procedure, being able to return home 4 or 5 hours later. Performing your normal activities even like watching TV.
This technique can be done at any age since there are several factors such as the inheritance and / or genetics of the patient that cause the eyelid sacs to develop in the early stages of life. Similarly, the elderly can safely and accurately perform the procedure without risk to them, even though they may suffer from hypertension, diabetes or some other age-related illness. All patients are assessed beforehand to determine their health status and therefore to see if they are candidates for the CO2 laser blepharoplasty procedure.
